Inclement Weather Advisory

Due to the inclement weather, Virginia State University will be closed on Monday, December 10, 2018. Final exams scheduled for Monday will be rescheduled for Tuesday, December 11, 2018.

Dining services will operate on a Brunch & Dinner schedule on Monday, December 10, 2018, at Jones Dining Hall, due to school closure.
Brunch (10:30am to 1:00pm)
Dinner (4:30pm to 6:30pm)

Foster Hall and Gateway Dining will be closed.

Requirements

Students interested in pursuing the Master of Interdisciplinary Studies (MIS) degree must have taken the GRE and must complete an application for admission, including a $25 application fee. More details about the requirements are below.

Students applying for admission to the MIS program must:

  1. have earned a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
  2. submit a completed application, $25 application fee, and official copies of their undergraduate transcripts (including transcripts from colleges/universities for any transfer credit used toward their bachelor's degree).
  3. obtain unconditional admission (at least 2.6 GPA on a 4.0 scale) to the College of Graduate Studies.
  4. submit a completed MIS Application form to the College of Graduate Studies.
